A lower advertised monthly equivalent does not necessarily mean a lower bill for you. A twelve-month subscription commits the full annual amount even when you only use it for part of the year.
This calculator compares two choices for the same subscription tier over one year:
The annual cost per month you actually use divides the full annual charge by your active paid months. It is a budgeting measure, not a monthly payment offer.
Annual billing becomes cheaper at the first whole month where the accumulated monthly payments exceed the annual charge. If the totals are equal, the calculator identifies a tie rather than presenting a saving.
Use whole billed periods. Playing for a week can still require paying for a full month. Separate months can be added together only if the provider lets you stop renewing and subscribe again when needed.
Compare the same tier, account country and included benefits. Use the regular renewal rate for both figures, with taxes treated consistently. A temporary promotion, prepaid code or upgrade credit can change the comparison.
An annual option must genuinely be available. Some memberships offer monthly billing without a twelve-month plan. The tool does not invent an annual discount or turn twelve monthly payments into an annual product.
It assumes prices remain unchanged during your comparison year and that you stop monthly renewal during months you do not need. It excludes refunds, financing, currency conversion and the value of benefits you miss while unsubscribed.
Record your next payment date before making changes. Compare the PS Plus plans or Game Pass tiers, then follow the relevant PS Plus cancellation guide or Game Pass cancellation guide if you decide to stop future renewal.

No. An annual plan can cost less than twelve monthly payments but more than a few monthly payments. Compare the full annual charge with the months you will actually pay for.
Use your provider’s regular local renewal prices for the same tier and benefits. Include taxes consistently in both figures. Do not compare an introductory monthly offer with a regular annual rate.
This tool cannot compare an annual option that does not exist. Do not enter twelve monthly payments as an annual quote. Use the service calculator to assess the available billing options.
No. The currency selector only formats your amounts. Enter actual local prices in that currency.
No. The full annual amount is counted upfront and monthly billing uses whole paid periods. Refunds, credits, upgrades and other plan changes must be checked with the provider.
